What are considered best practices for Global Reward and Recognition strategy?

To cast light on the question a survey conducted on behalf of Grass Roots by Research Powered Marketing Group (RPM); an independent party, was undertaken with HR executives of US corporations with global operations asking them about their approach to a Global Rewards and Recognition program.
Titles of respondents included VP Compensation, Chief HR Officer, Global HR Director, VP of HR, HR Director and VP/Manager of Total Rewards and International Compensation Director.

The Miami Grass Roots team presents:
"We want to hold your hand".
An internal Grass Roots contest took place in April 2010 amongst all our offices around the world. Each office needed to produce a full inspirational video of the song. Here is the American version. Enjoy!

A global Rewards and Recognition platform

(*) Why "I want to hold your hand"?

The Beatles released “I want to hold your hand” as a single in 1963. In the US, it sold more than 250,000 copies in the first three days of release with over 10,000 copies an hour being sold in New York alone. The song has received many awards amongst which includes the number 2 slot on Mojo’s “100 records that have changed the world”.
Using the song to name the survey goes back to a Grass Roots discussion with a global pharmaceutical company. We offered to “hold their hand” as they took their recognition program global. After considering our proposal, we received a call from the program manager. She said,
“I want you to hold my hand!”
