David Evans, honored by Queen Elizabeth II with MBE title
LONDON, JUNE 12TH, 2008 David Evans, Chairman and Founder of the Grass Roots Group PLC has been honored by Queen Elizabeth II with the title MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire).
The official announcement gives the citation "for services to Corporate Social Responsibility". This is the first time in the history of the order that this citation has been given as the sole reason for awarding an MBE.
This is a recognition of the personal engagement David Evans displays towards the improvement of people's lives as well as to communal causes in the Tring, Hertfordshire area - the headquarter of the Grass Roots Group.
The MBE is a British order of chivalry, which was founded in 1917 by King George V. The official bestowal entails a visit to Buckingham Palace, where the Queen or another member of the Royal Family, will formally honor David Evans with the silver cross, fastened to a red ribbon by means of a symbolized crown.
