Grass Roots posts record results

November 2007 -The multi-national business improvement company, Grass Roots Group PLC, has posted its financial results for the year ending June 30th 2007. Results are again at an all time record with turnover up 64% to £237.3 Million (Sterling). Pre tax profits rose by 50.7% to a record £8.3 Million (Sterling).

Headquartered in the small Hertfordshire town of Tring, the group provides a range of business services in communication, education, performance measurement, reward services and event management in 14 countries with offices from Sao Paulo to Singapore.

David Evans, Founder and Chairman, expressed his delight with a very rounded performance from the family of businesses within the Grass Roots Group. “I am fortunate to have a great team of people (over 1,000) in the group. All of whom share the vision that was born in the original Tring operation.”

Grass Roots has acquired a string of new companies over the past several years and continues to add to the list regularly.

“Those companies such as Maritz Europe and our American subsidiaries have all made great progress and contributed to this successful outcome,” notes Evans.

The new financial year has started in expansive fashion with the acquisitions of MMM Live and Delegate Management Systems. To this have been added new ventures in the USA and India.

“Some time ago I agreed with my top team, Rik Burrage and Nigel King, that my ambition was that the sun wouldn’t set on the Grass Roots name by the time of my 60th birthday - we beat that deadline by two months!”
